Adjusting the settings of an event

In this guide, we will explain how to adjust the settings of an event.

1. Open Category "Events"

Click on the arrow to the right of iTalent and open the category "Events"

2. Chose event

Now click on the desired event

3. Scroll down to the "Settings" section.

Informations abaout the "Settings", which you can activate or not

Particularly important is "Participant Management", which you can activate for the management of applicants by company representatives. Company representatives can then access the applicant profiles and either accept, reject or put them on the waiting list, as you can see demonstrated here.
Another important setting is "Search & invite people". If this is activated, the company representatives have the possibility to search for students, view their profiles and invite them to their event.
With these first two options, it is also possible to set a date on which these competences will be deactivated again.
"Limit editing" is important if you as a Career Service do not want the companies to be able to change the information given for an event at will. The view of the company representatives changes as follows. This setting can be useful, for example, if a certain time is fixed and should no longer be changeable. The editing of all details except the description is blocked and the uploading of PDFs is still possible for the companies.
If you activate "Automatic activation", this means that if the host makes changes to the event, it will automatically be put online without the admin having to check it.

However, activating the setting "Closed event" means that the event will no longer be displayed to users of the career platform. The only way to participate in the event is by invitation from the organising company.
